Brooks Welch, also known as 'Soul Sugar,' is a Brooklyn-based content creator and international DJ. As a DJ, Soul Sugar's open format approach to blending Classic and Modern R&B/Soul, Funk, Jazz, and global influences is described as "breezy and complex"
For this project, I designed a full set of promo materials for Soul Sugar Joint at SOB’s in NYC. The package included the main event flyer, three DJ highlight flyers, animated motion graphics, and a social media story post.
The visual style blends bold black-and-white photography with hand-drawn typography and playful red accents, giving the designs a vintage, DIY concert-poster feel with a modern twist. Each piece was designed to represent Soul Sugars unique sound as a DJ and global influence.
